About the role
Role description:
We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for a Senior Engineer (Civil) to work on our water & wastewater projects the UK region from our Design Centers in India.
Role accountabilities:
* As GEC Project Lead, managing projects (or components of projects) for Water Civils team.
* Managing the production and verification of analysis and design, including drawings and reports, asset management relating to projects.
* Taking responsibility for technical resource allocation, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/ modifications.
* Must have insane focus on quality for final 2D drawings and deliverables.
* Proactively engaging with various Arcadis Regional offices/ teams regarding safe design requirements, and flag risks at appropriate levels. Resolving issues and create strong relationships with project colleagues in the regions, evidenced through great feedback.
* Developing technical methodologies which add value to the scope from other Arcadis Regions and guiding junior colleagues to do the same.
* Reviewing work and drive the culture of checking and accountability in the team, including interdisciplinary checks.
* Liaising and assisting the project manager to ensure commercial aspects relating to the design team can achieve a successful result. Developing plans and budgets for medium-size and / or complex tasks and monitor progress against these.
* Identifying opportunities and driving implementation of re-engineering strategies to maximize the value of design input.
* Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
* Providing technical advice to project team members.
* Handle multiple management responsibilities, overseeing the work and / or development of multiple colleagues working on complex projects in a single discipline.
* Design Health & Safety management for the project works.
Qualifications & Experience:
* B.E / Post-Graduation in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Post Graduation will be added advantage.
* 6 - 10 years relevant experience in design of Civil Infrastructure for Water supply, Sewerage & Storm water drainage systems.
* Registered or accredited professional will be a Plus.
Required Competencies:
* Application of Standards and managing resources.
* Knowledge of relevant International Standards is preferable.
* Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal
* Work experience in North America will be an added advantage.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills.
* Strong command of BIM / digital / data analytics software as applicable.
* Demonstrated delivery acumen. Experience in civil design, specifications, drawings, asset management and BIM models for large scale projects related to,
* Water and wastewater conveyance systems,
* Pumping stations and other related structures,
* Site Civil drawings
* Intakes and outfalls,
* Treatment plants,
* Drainage systems,
* Flood protection facilities,
* Hydraulic design related to above.
* Experience of delivering designs and reports at all stages from concept through to final project and construction delivery.
Software Knowledge:
* Experience on working with the following design software’s is required.
* BIM 360, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS on project design is added advantage.
* Sewer CAD, Water CAD/WaterGems, PCSWMM
