QA Lead / QE Manager – Retail POS (mPOS)
About the Role
• We are looking for an experienced QA Lead / QE Manager to lead the Quality Engineering function for our Retail mPOS platform. This role will be responsible for defining the test strategy, driving automation, leading the QA team, and ensuring high-quality releases across POS applications and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the QA team and own end-to-end quality for the Retail mPOS platform.
• Define and execute test strategies for Functional, Integration, SIT, Regression, and Release Testing.
• Drive automation and improve test coverage across desktop, web, and API applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and Business stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Track quality metrics, manage defects, and provide release readiness updates.
• Mentor team members and promote QA best practices and continuous improvement.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and tools to improve test design, automation development, and overall QA productivity.
• Lead a risk-based testing approach by prioritizing testing based on business impact, code changes, affected functionality, and release commitments to deliver high-quality releases with optimal use of QA resources.
Required Skills
• 10+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering, with experience leading QA teams.
• Strong experience in Retail POS / mPOS domain.
• Hands-on experience with Windows-based application testing and its Automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Strong automation experience using:
o Playwright + JavaScript
o WinAppDriver
o Appium +Java
• Experience in API and integration testing and its automation.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps/Jira, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Devin, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test automation, improve engineering productivity, and drive modern Quality Engineering practices.
Preferred
• Experience with retail peripherals (barcode scanners, receipt printers, payment terminals, cash drawers).
• Experience with performance and non-functional testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
